2020 Program Dates: June 3 in Paris - July 11 in Lyon

Your potential is our passion. ei² is committed to delivering an amazing study abroad experience, but let’s face it: cost matters. As educators, our non-profit’s mantra is to provide everyone with access to the life-changing experience of international work-study.

Most programs do not offer the kind of extensive cultural calendar we are committed to providing you because we believe that these experiences are integral to your professional success and personal growth.

So shop around. We want you to make an informed decision before you choose a program. When you look, remember to compare apples to apples (length of program, number of credits, duration and quality of activities/excursions, professional opportunities, housing, included meals, pre-departure support, professors, and extras like local, culture, and travel health insurance). When you’ve done your homework, we are convinced that you will find our program to be an incredible value.

Scholarship and Preferred Placement Application Deadline: Monday, February 3, 2020

Regular Application Deadline: Monday, February 17, 2020

Late Application. We are happy to consider late applications on a case by case basis.

In order for ei² to begin to searching for your internship, you must complete an application, submit a resume, and commit to the program. Committing to the program means that you will participate in the program if you are placed in an internship. It is advantageous to commit early, as internship placement will be offered on an ongoing basis to students who are committed. The last day to commit is April 10, 2020. In the case that an applicant has not been assigned an internship, they may withdraw from the program without financial penalty by May 1, 2020.

[1] The group will meet in Paris and then travel from Paris to Lyon at the end this initial excursion. Because many students may want to fly directly out of Lyon or travel independently after the program ends, this is a one-way trip. Program participants will make all remaining travel arrangements to and from our program site in Lyon.

[2] Program participants are housed in host families which provide private rooms, internet, access to laundry facilities and two daily meals.

[3] ei² will provide you with an official transcript after successful completion of your coursework. In turn, you will submit your transcript to your school’s Registrar to request transfer credit for the course you take in Lyon. ei² works with our partner schools to ensure accurate transcription, however, before enrolling you should check with your academic advisor or Registrar to verify course equivalencies at your home institution. We also offer a "no coursework" option and a reduced program fee for participants who do not need the business or civilization course.

[4] Internships last 5 weeks, which equates to 150 hours of work experience.

[5] Most participants enroll and pay separately for internship credits at their home institution. Almost all departments and majors have internship credits available. Check with your academic advisor to verify the number of credits for which you qualify. Inform your advisor that you will receive credit for 150 internship hours. ei² will work with your school to validate your internship.
